Artwork Production Designer IV
The Artwork Production Designer IV is responsible for the creation and pre-press process of production artwork files for complex customer accounts, as well as special projects on an as needed basis as assigned by the Artwork Production Manager.
Essential Functions
Assists Artwork Production Manager in training and leadership of the design team responsibilities, provide support to Print Production Associates, and help communicate tasks and objectives clearly
Communicates and coordinates with customers, printers and all internal departments for artwork projects and processes to ensure timely execution of all projects
Establishes short and long-term production objectives consistent with organizational strategy
Manages and prioritizes internal artwork requests for special projects including branding concepts, digital mockups, marketing materials and social media assets
Coordinates and conducts consultations with customers, sales and any necessary third parties for initial review of pre-production requirements and best print production practices. Conduct training classes and overviews for customers, sales and third parties
Guide and advise fellow designers in both creative process and customer management to foster stronger working relationships and solutions
Attend press checks when necessary, has solid understanding of printing processes (specifically flexography), substrate knowledge and ability to thoroughly review and approve proofs based on customer’s approved final files
Assist Artwork Production Supervisor in reviewing artwork related invoices and creation of POs for all internal and external design costs as needed
Assists Legal Team in Supply Agreements containing verbiage around Niagara responsibility of prepress and graphic design charges to ensure estimates are within industry standards and Packaging Design Policy limits
Develops knowledge and understanding of industry by continuing education.
Assist in conceptual design and Marketing projects as assigned by Marketing Sr. Graphic Designer
Assist with oversight of ColorCert Job file creation, supplier sample reviews and sample library
List if any travel is required using percentage of time:
25% - on average travels 1 week out of the month

Minimum Qualifications:
4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
4 Years – Experience in Position
4 Years – Experience managing projects
4 Years – Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
4 Years – Experience with Oracle Agile PLM software and ERP systems
4 Years – Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word
*experience may include a combination of work experience and education
Preferred Qualifications:
6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
6 Years – Experience working in Position
