The Opportunity

As a pivotal technical role within Cornell University, the

Salesforce Administrator

is tasked with the analysis, design, and implementation of Salesforce solutions tailored to the institution's dynamic requirements. Working closely with stakeholders, this position includes capturing business needs, interpreting business requirements into technical specifications, crafting and implementing custom solutions, and facilitating smooth integration with other systems. Leveraging an innovative approach, the administrator spearheads process enhancements and elevates user engagement across the organization. Duties encompass solution analysis and design, creating technical designs and documentation, data modeling, configuration, development, data integration, and ongoing operational support for Salesforce systems.

What We Need

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with

a minimum of three (3) years

working with enterprise Salesforce deployments, and a

minimum of

three (3) years'

experience working in higher education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Proven experience in translating business requirements into technical designs based on the Salesforce platform.Proficiency in Salesforce administration tasks such as user management, security settings, data management and customization of objects and fields.Ability to customize Salesforce using declarative tools like Flow, Workflow Rules, and automated processes to automate business processes and enforce data consistency.Experience in building custom user interfaces using Lightning components.Understanding of Salesforce integration patterns and experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using tools like REST/SOAP APIs and middleware integration platforms.Ability to design and implement complex data models in Salesforce, including custom objects, relationships, and validation rules, to support business requirements.Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Experience and its components, including Lightning App Builder, Lightning Record Pages, and Lightning App Development.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations.Effective communication skills to gather requirements from stakeholders, document solution designs, and provide training and support to end users.Background in enterprise IT projects, with a particular emphasis on higher education.A goal-oriented mindset, driven by a passion for achieving project objectives and exceeding expectations.Experience maintaining and supporting enterprise production solutions and promptly resolving production situations.Ability and curiosity to stay updated with latest Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends through self-learning, training, and participation in the Salesforce community and forums.Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellbeing.Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.*A cover letter and resume are required for further consideration for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience deploying enterprise-wide Salesforce solutions.Experience working on an Enterprise IT team in higher education.Experience with business and technical analysis.Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator I/II, Salesforce Flow and Salesforce platform App Builder are highly desirable and demonstrate proficiency in Salesforce skills.What We Offer
