WHAT YOU WILL DO
Flexware is looking for a talented Ignition developer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work as a trusted advisor to our clients and will be challenged to come up with innovative and long-lasting solutions. One day, you could be building out Ignition as an MES solution for a discrete manufacturer, and the next, you could be integrating the platform with AGVs and plant systems in a pharma environment. Listed below are some of the technologies and job responsibilities that will fall under this position:Design and develop HMI, MES, and SCADA systems built around the Ignition platform using SQL, Python, JavaScript, and other languages and technologies.Design and develop within multiple technologies, including but not limited to:
Data historians (OSI PI, Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian, etc.)Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)Custom applications (C#, .NET, etc.)
Develop and configure interfaces with third-party software tools such as OPC serversProvide detailed documentation to clients on system design and programmingFlexware is looking for an individual that is willing to step in where necessary. We are looking for someone that is not afraid to get their hands dirty and be of service to others.

Flexdogs are a rare breed of engineers. They come from varied backgrounds, but typically have some of the following traits:
Received a technical bachelor's degree such as Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical concentrationHave 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with SCADA or MES applications with at least two years focused on Ignition developmentExperience working with OPC servers and tag dataExperience developing in higher-level programming languages such as C#/.NET, SQL, Python, JavaScript, or othersExperience working with SQL or Oracle databases, writing medium to complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggersAbility to understand PLC logic and programming
