The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnosesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventionsPrescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effectsProvide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilienceCollaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person careEducate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-beingMaintain accurate and timely EMR documentationKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patientsStrong communication skillsStrong medical decision-making skillsDisplaying a caring and professional attitude at all timesDocumenting in a timely and thorough mannerSCHEDULE DETAILS:Schedule Details: Monday – FridayHospitals covered: AH Winter ParkREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Active BLS requiredDEA requiredValid, current Florida Medical LicenseLICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:Current, valid Florida PA or APRN licenseBLS & ACLSDEA License
