Our client, a leader in the Green Energy industry, is seeking a skilled Purchasing & MRO Buyer. This full-time, salaried non-exempt position is based near Little Rock Arkansas, and is crucial for managing procurement and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities.

As the ideal candidate you have Industrial sector experience, a basic understanding of mechanical components, and critical part sourcing experience. You know how to manage inventory and source parts from valued vendors.

Role and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.Perform cost analysis during the sourcing process, ensuring a minimum of three quotes.Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.Analyze industry and demand trends, supporting senior management in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.Manage CAPEX projects, including budget and contractors per contracts.Generate and document cost savings through supplier negotiations and continuous improvement processes.Ensure efficient management of contracts, systems, and supplier development.Establish and maintain controls for quantity, quality, price, and delivery of purchased items.Manage consignment stock and identify opportunities to minimize inventory value.Review and maintain good records of purchasing files and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Submit reports in accordance with reporting directives.Continually improve purchasing methods and processes.Maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing and/or MRO buying preferred.Two years' experience in plant manufacturing.Ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.Key attributes: results-focused, planning and organization, technical knowledge and troubleshooting, communication proficiency, and vision-strategy.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
