:

As an intern, you'll support the HR team at Marina View and other sites, interacting with HR team members, employees, vendors, and senior management. Your role will focus on various departmental initiatives, such as gathering market intelligence, comparing plan designs, summarizing legislation and regulatory guidance, and analyzing utilization data to identify trends.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Review HW and retirement benefits programs; troubleshoot and resolve employee and system issues.Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, Direct Billing, HIPAA, DOL, IRS, ERISA guidelines, including audits, reporting, and filing.Assist with annual benefit usage reporting, vendor renewal processes, and invoicing.Analyze and reconcile elections, deductions, and funding accounts, review system setup and processes.Communicate effectively with senior management and customers, coordinate communication across multiple benefit plans.Write, review, and proofread employee communications, support HR and Payroll contacts across various businesses.Handle employee inquiries; support HR Technology by identifying use cases and creating test plans.Present internship summary to management; assist with appeals and other tasks as needed.Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in HR, business, economics, communications, or any STEM field from an accredited university.Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 required.Must have completed sophomore year.Skills and Competencies

Demonstrates respect, effective communication, and willingness to follow through on commitments.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and charts.Familiarity with HR, finance, or vendor management systems is advantageous.Skilled in documenting processes, data reporting, and analytics.Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and management abilities.Self-motivated, curious, trustworthy, and asks insightful questions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
