Our vision is to drive positive and sustainable community led change where all have equitable access to innovative, high-quality, evidence-informed services.Division DescriptionThe Children, Youth, Family and Transitional Age Youth services Division (CYFTAY) is a dynamic and the fastest growing division within Felton Institute with an annual revenue of $20 million generated from local, state and grant sources. CYFTAY offers an array of services to underserved clients, including Early Care and Education, Early Intervention, Inclusion, Family Support, Mental Health Services, Health, Nutrition, Wellness and Parenting Education Programming. Your expertise will contribute to the division's ability to make a positive impact and transform the lives of the individuals and families we serve.Brief Description:Under general direction as Budget, Grants & Contracts Director, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee the financial aspects of the CYFTAY grants and local and state contracts. You will be responsible for budget preparation and monitoring, budget modifications, cost allocation, tracking revenue & expenses, reconciling, and preparing revenue & expense reports, setting up and tracking reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines, requirements, and regulations. Additionally, you will provide financial analysis, prepare funder reports, and make recommendations to support financial decision making.Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and monitor budgets for CYFTAY programs and projects.Track and allocate all revenue and expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and funding requirements.Conduct regular financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving measures.Prepare accurate and timely expense and assigned reports for funders, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines and providing accurate and detailed expenditure information.Reconcile records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing, and receivables.Collaborate with program leadership to determine funding needs and ensure proper allocation of funds.Support the grants management process by reviewing grant budgets, monitoring grant revenue and expenditures, and preparing financial reports as required.Stay updated on funding guidelines, requirements, and regulations, ensuring compliance in budget preparation, revenue, and expenditure tracking.Provide financial reports, including charts, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.Assist in the development and preparation of all CYFTAY grant/contract budgets.Monitor the receipt of new grants/contracts and ensure cost center allocations and expense coding as assigned.Track and monitor grant spending, ensuring expenses align with approved budgets and grant guidelines.Assist in conducting audits and reviews of financial records to ensure compliance with grant regulations.Coordinate with program staff to collect and compile data for reporting requirements.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of grant revenues and expenses.Support the budgeting process by analyzing historical data and trends, identifying areas for budget adjustments or reallocation.Participate in grantor site visits and meetings, providing financial information and addressing any related inquiries.Support the COO in financial forecasting, budget modifications, and decision-making processes.Identify opportunities for financial efficiencies and cost-saving measures.Communicate financial information and recommendations to key stakeholders effectively.Minimum Qualifications & RequirementsMaster’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.At least 3-5 years of related work experience.Proven experience in budget monitoring, expense tracking, and financial analysis.Strong proficiency in financial software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks).Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial data.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet reporting deadlines.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Reliable, self-motivated, and able to solve problems and make decisions based on Felton’s mission and guiding principles.Must pass a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance, Child Abuse Index, Health Screening, TB test, and COVID-19 Vaccination.Working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).Ability to proactively assess, strategize and communicate to meet objectives, deadlines and prioritize workload.Commitment to social justice, empowerment of families and support for diversity.Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.SEND RESUMES TO: jobs@felton.orgResumes sent without a proper cover letter and/or not meeting minimum qualifications will not be considered.
