We specialize in sustainable infrastructure, water management strategies, and green building design.Role SummarySherwood is currently seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineer to support our Water/Wastewater team. The candidate will develop, review, and consult on new system control architecture, process instrumentation, and controls integration of treatment processes.Minimum Qualifications:Typically 10+ years of professional experienceUndergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience and educationAbility to design and oversee the start-up and commissioning of process control equipmentDemonstrated ability to create process and instrumentation diagrams and control narrativesExperience creating operations and maintenance manualsUnderstanding of PLC wiring and programmingProficiency in working with 4-20mA analog loopsAbility to read and modify electrical schematicsBasic familiarity with NEC standardsFamiliarity with calibrating and programming instrumentsBasic networking capabilities and understanding of virtualized systemsHigh proficiency with Windows Operating Systems and associated packages including Excel, Word, and VisioPreferred SkillsExperience in a consulting environmentFamiliarity with SCADA/HMI programming platformsUnderstanding of telemetry systemsCertifications such as Security+, CASP+, OSCP, CEH, or CISSPBackground in Object-Oriented programming such as Python and C++Expected OutcomesDevelopment of new system control architectures and site infrastructure, including preparation of and/or review and consultation on:
