We are hiring mid-level/senior backend engineers who will help build New Lantern’s enterprise medical imaging platform for radiologists. You’ll be responsible for architecting and developing scalable infrastructure that powers our core product. You’ll build and own key services for efficiently serving large amounts of image scan data to users, configuring and scaling a secure multi-tenant cloud, producing real-time image segmentation, and more.Every engineer is a product engineer. Our engineers work with high integrity and ownership. At New Lantern, every engineer must be meticulously product-minded: focused on the bigger picture and never compromising on the user experience.Grow with the company. New Lantern’s Engineering department and sub-departments will revolve around you and early engineers as New Lantern expands.Requirements
Experience building infrastructure components/services at scale. You have a proven grasp of Computer Science fundamentals and have a strong interest in distributed systems.Experience deploying and managing web services using Linux, CSPs (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS), and containers (e.g., K8s, Docker).Experience deploying applications using common web frameworks (Flask, Django, etc.).Experience with SQL and SQL-like databases.Experience designing, documenting, and maintaining RESTful APIs.Past experience working with medical systems, especially experience with HL7 messages and DICOM standard.Experience in image processing.Experience building frontends for web applications, bonus points if React.Knowledge and experience with CI/CD best practices and managing build systems.How to Apply
