We are currently seeking a

Thermal Sciences Associate

for our

Thermal Sciences

Practice in either

Menlo Park, CA; Phoenix, AZ; or Denver, CO . This position will involve applying fundamental engineering and scientific techniques to real-world problems in failure analysis risk mitigation and product development.You will be responsible for

Analyzing and distilling complex dataPerforming laboratory experiments and analytical or computational modelingReviewing and understanding experiments and simulations performed by clientsResearching and parsing data from published literatureConducting risk assessmentsPreparing written reports, proposals, and presentationsManaging projects and maintaining efficiency under deadlinesGathering information from and conveying technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, the legal profession, business, and industryYou will have the following skills and qualifications

Ph.D. in Aero-Astro, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, Nuclear, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field, with a practical and theoretical understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and combustionA background in data sciences and/or electrical engineering would be a plus, but is not requiredOutstanding ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts to new problemsHands-on experience in designing and executing experimental programsFamiliarity with technical documents and equipmentExcellent written and verbal communications skillsApplicants are encouraged to submit a CV (Curriculum Vitae) with publications (feel free to include publications that are in review or pending) [not restricted to 1 page].Work Environment
