Senior Infrastructure Manager - Compute & Storage
Agility Partners is seeking qualified applicants to fill an open Senior Infrastructure Manager position with one of our Banking clients. This role resides within the Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering organization and manages a fast-paced Enterprise Storage and Compute environment. As a technical leader and manager, the successful candidate will partner with application teams, Network, DevOps, DBAs, Cyber Security groups, and engineers to assist in scoping and engineering on-prem Compute and Storage infrastructure for the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Managing/Coaching a staff of engineers and providing clear feedback on performance to corporate goals and behaviors.Managing and scoping workload coming into the team, assign to engineers, and assist with escalations.Provide strategic guidance on network security initiatives and participate in long-term planning; Create roadmaps and strategy and ensure execution is accurately tracked in annual budget.Managing portfolio of Storage and Compute infrastructure platforms to ensure operational stability, risk mitigation, and software/hardware currency.Establishing configuration management baselines and monitoring compliance for storage, compute, and OSIs.Lead security and risk discussions; Participate in internal and regulatory audit exercises and assist in production of control evidence, documentation, and procedures.Create, maintain, and adhere to security controls established in conjunction with Cyber Security, Risk, and Audit organizations.Provide 24/7 operational support for escalations from the operations teams.Detailed experience managing a large Storage and compute infrastructure including managing of complex SAN, NAS, SAN Fabric, Virtualization, and Enterprise server hardware, security controls, and processes.Candidate should have working knowledge of cloud and cloud services; Including operating the responsible platforms in an infrastructure-as-code model.Candidate should have automation and process design background.Benefits and Perks

The ideal candidate would bring the following:7+ years of hands-on large scale Enterprise Storage and Compute deployment and configuration.5+ years of hands-on Compute hardware that includes Microsoft, Redhat, Dell and Cisco (configuration and maintenance).5+ years of hands-on SAN/NAS includes provident knowledge of Dell and Pure (configuration and maintenance).5+ years of hands-on Backup technologies such as CommVault.5+ years of hand-on experience in network technologies and concepts.Bachelor's Degree in IT field of study or 7+ years experience.Security subject matter expert with strong ability to partner with Network, Application, and other infrastructure teams.Financial accounting background with budgets, spends, and run rates modification experience ideal.Preferred Skillset:
Previous engineering manager experience.Security focus.Experience managing a large Storage and Compute platform environment at medium-to-large enterprises.Current or previous experience with DELL/EMC Storage, Pure Storage, Cisco UCS, VMware, Microsoft, Redhat and IBM AIX technologies.Strong design skills of data center compute and storage platforms.
