Position Overview:The Senior Director Finance will provide financial leadership to drive financial performance and internal control environment within the Business Unit (BU). Specifically, this role will lead or take a leading role in driving financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting to help drive the achievement of business objectives. Additionally, the Senior Director will lead the business in the areas of SOX and internal controls and provide a strong supporting role in the areas of strategic planning, acquisition assessment and acquisition integration and synergy capture.Essential Responsibilities and Duties:Business Partnering & Financial LeadershipPartner with the BU Mgmt team (GM, Sales, Procurement, Operations, Product Development and HR) in identifying and implementing performance improvement activities.Provide the BU General Manager (GM) and leadership team with comprehensive financial analysis and guidance on current and expected performance of the business.Deliver timely and comprehensive advice to various stakeholders in the areas of profitability, cost management, working capital, cash flow, opportunity cost, and capital utilization.Drive the BU to optimize balance sheet (minimize working capital and capex, stretch utilization of existing PPE, maximize cash flow, etc.).Lead BU Outperformance process to identify/deliver on actions to improve business results.Advise on financial/business issues relating to acquisitions, plant footprint and ongoing operations.Participate in due diligence processes on all acquisitions pursued by the BU with direct responsibility for financial due diligence.Ensure the professional preparation, thoroughness and accuracy of the annual and long-term planning processes across BU, building financial models, establishing targets and driving performance in support of the business strategies.Financial Reporting & ManagementLead and coordinate the BU monthly/quarterly closing and reporting processes.Lead and coordinate the BU annual budget process.Lead financial modeling related to BU annual strategic plan.Ensure the resources, tools and processes are in place to achieve delivery in full, on time and in specification of financial reporting relative to monthly actual, routine forecast and budget planning at BU level.Ensure implementation and compliance with Amcor policies and procedures within the BU.Drive fiduciary compliance culture and SOX framework within the BU through leadership and support of Amcor's internal controls processes (BG Management Audit Committee, Internal Audit, SOX audits, etc.).Provide timely communication and analysis for ARP BG as necessary.Ensure all aspects of sound financial management of the BU operations, incorporating treasury and cash flow management and financial planning.Matrix Organization SupportEnsure support and coordination with NA Operations team relative to SC BU.Ensure support and coordination with NA Commercial Finance team relative to SC BU.Lead coordination with NA Shared Service organization (Procurement, Accounting, IT, HR) to ensure BU support requirements are met.Team Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead a team of approximately 20 reports (2 direct and 18 indirect).Actively manage and develop direct and indirect reports.Develop bench strength within the BU to enable internal promotion and transfer as opportunities arise.Qualifications:Accounting, Finance or equivalent Bachelors degree; MBA preferred.Professional accreditation a plus (CPA/CA, CMA or equivalent).10+ years of progressive experience including senior finance roles with lead financial responsibility.Demonstrated background in business partnering with GM, accounting, financial reporting and internal controls/compliance.Executive presence.Demonstrated ability to deliver results, with a strong track record of performance.Impeccable integrity - embodies and practices world-class ethical standards.
