Compensation:

From $90,000 to $130,000 annual depending on experience, plus excellent benefitsThis position is on-site 5 days in DTLA officeORGANIZATION BACKGROUNDPACE is a local community nonprofit organization founded in 1976 to provide job training and placement services for the Asian Pacific Islander communities in Los Angeles. PACE has since expanded into a variety of service areas, all tailored to meet the growing and changing needs of the multi-ethnic communities in Los Angeles County. PACE serves more than 40,000 people each year with a wide scope of services with approximately 350+ staff. PACE is recognized as a leader in addressing problems of poverty and economic inequity in ethnic minority communities.PROGRAM SUMMARYPACE Business Development Center (BDC) offers entrepreneurial training, technical assistance, one-on-one counseling, loans, and grants to low and moderate-income individuals, especially minorities and women who aspire to start or currently own a microenterprise.POSITION DESCRIPTIONPACE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director for the PACE Business Development Center (BDC). The Assistant Director will ensure that all day-to-day program activities are carried out in order to meet/exceed program performance outcomes and requirements. This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Director, COO & CEO.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization.Develop new initiatives to support the strategies.Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program.Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the program.Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strength of the program.Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and funding requirements.Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards.Supervise program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback.Write reports on the program for executive management and funders.Ensure that the program operates within the approved budget.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a supervisory position.Minimum five (5) years of experience working with executive leadership positions and stakeholders.Experience and knowledge of program management.Proficiency in use of computers and applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet.SKILLSStrong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.Demonstrated creativity and innovation.Strong organizational skills.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust pass pre-employment physical exam that includes drug and alcohol screening.Must pass employment verification/reference check.Must have reliable transportation.COVID vaccination required; must have two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or a single-dose of Johnson & Johnson.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
