The successful candidate will be joining a growing team of engineering and science professionals who focus on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships.Job Description:

The ERG LCA team supports government clients to assess the environmental outcomes associated with waste-related pathways to create new approaches for sustainability analysis.The Waste LCA Specialist position within the LCA team will involve applying data science approaches to model the environmental impacts of different waste and resource recovery pathways.Qualifications and Skills:

Passion for and experience in data-driven sustainability analysis.A Master's degree in Environmental Science/Management, Engineering, or a field related to data science with specific coursework in life cycle assessment or equivalent experience is preferred.3 to 5 years of applied professional experience in applying data science approaches for life cycle assessment.May also consider a Bachelor's degree with sufficient life cycle assessment experience.Expertise with existing waste and resource recovery LCA models.Experience with modeling life cycle impacts of food waste pathways preferred.Expertise with coding in Python and other computer skills relevant to data manipulation and analysis.Experience working directly with clients.Experience working in small teams in a collaborative environment.Familiarity with a wide range of data sources relevant to environmental and policy analysis and the ability to identify and engage experts to conduct research.Well-developed problem-solving, systems thinking, quantitative, and critical thinking skills; intellectual curiosity.Able to formulate solutions to poorly structured problems.Highly motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in close collaboration with team members.Energized by working as part of a high-functioning team and demonstrating a professional attitude.Skilled written and verbal communicator, including the ability to present complex information that is understandable to a non-technical audience.$75,000 - $100,000 a year
