Software Engineer, EVM Node

At Conduit, we're building the infrastructure platform that will scale Ethereum. We believe that a lack of compute has been holding back crypto app developers, and that we can unlock the next wave of innovation in the crypto ecosystem by providing turn-key chain infrastructure for the masses, like AWS and GCP did for Web2.We're a small team based in the Bay Area. We move fast, build high quality systems, and are open-minded enough to know that we always have more to learn.About the RoleIn this role you'll be working closely with the CEO to develop, maintain, and improve the node and supporting infrastructure we run at Conduit -- including exploring Reth and its potential for implementation. We value people who can quickly obtain a deep technical understanding of new domains and enjoy being self-directed and identifying the most important problems to solve.As a Node EVM Engineer, you should:Have a deep understanding of the EVM and how external tooling integrates with itHave experience hacking on the EVM itself or auxiliary tooling like debuggers, block explorers, or tracers.Have strong opinions on what the best tooling looks like for developers on EVM chainsWe think you’ll find this work really exciting if you:Love the EVM for what it is, and are excited about building best in class tooling and infrastructure for it and around it.Have experience designing, implementing, and running production servicesCan debug problems across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, or memory leaksOwn problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job doneOur tech stackOur infrastructure is built on Kubernetes, Postgres, and Cloud Tasks on GCP. While we value experience with these technologies, we are primarily looking for engineers with strong technical skills and the ability to quickly pick up new tools and frameworks.
