About the position of Chief Technology OfficerThe Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is one of the most important strategic roles at Cognite. Ensure that Cognite’s technology foundation gives us a competitive advantageDeliver on the strategy of Cognite and Product together with the leadership in the Product divisionWork closely with internal stakeholders, customers and partners to develop the technology strategy of CogniteYou will lead the team of architects in the Office of the CTODefine and own the golden path for technologies used at CogniteDefine and own the architecture principles for development at CogniteRepresent Cognite and its technology to customers, partners, analysts, technologists and the market at largeEnsure that our technology debt is well-managed and we continuously work on paying down the right parts of itKey Qualifications and Experiences
Experience being a hands on developer early in your career5+ years of experience as an architect or similar senior technical roleDeep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud technologies, AI/ML, algorithms and data structuresYou are a team player that takes ownership and sets a clear direction for your division and the people that report to youYou seek to make an impact for the customer, the company and the people you work withYou never give up and are relentless in your pursuit of building something greatYou are excited about technology and like sharing your knowledge with others, for example through talks at conferencesYou have experience building data or AI-focused productsPlus for SaaS, B2B and industrial experiencePlus for edge or OT experiencePlus for experience building platforms for external developers
