RHEL Senior Engineer:Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Red Hat Linux servers.Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise, Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS.Perform vulnerability scans using Tenable (Nessus), HP WebInspect, and DB Protect scanning tools to detect potential risks on single/multiple assets across the enterprise network.Investigate the following activities as part of a SOC: malware attacks, DoS attacks, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, phishing attempts, brute force attempts, DLP alerts, and malicious scanning/reconnaissance activity detection.Conduct Dynamic and Static Code Analysis.Use Splunk to investigate and correlate potentially malicious events.Review alerts using Phantom and other tools to perform in-depth analysis and triage of network security threat activity based on computer and media forensics, malicious code analysis, and protocol analysis to identify intrusions.Review system logs, event logs, security logs, audit logs, and application logs from Windows servers/workstations, Linux servers, routers and switches, appliances, applications, and databases to identify potential malicious activity.AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
