Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a DevOps Engineer/ Principal DevOps Engineer in support of programs at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Successful candidates should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will be an active part of a DevOps Engineering team with expertise in GitLab, Kubernetes, Harbor, and related DevOps technologies. They will play a pivotal role in development and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This candidate will be planned to support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.Basic Qualifications for a DevOps Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceMaster's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math disciplineMinimum of 2 years experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD technologiesKnowledgeable in development of CI/CD PipelinesAble to obtain IAT Level II certification such as CASP+ or Security+ U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearanceBasic Qualifications for a Principal DevOps Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceMaster's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 3 years of experienceMinimum of 2 years experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD technologiesKnowledgeable in development of CI/CD PipelinesAble to obtain IAT Level II certification such as CASP+ or Security+ U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearancePreferred Qualifications:
Experience with OCI-compliant container technology and tools (Docker, Podman, etc.)Experience developing automation techniques that improve deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environmentExperience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practicesDevOps or Cloud related certificationsVMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) or similar DevOps architecturesSalary Range:
$79,300 - $118,900Salary Range 2:
$97,500 - $146,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
