This is a critical commercial leadership role for the North American Regional Consumer Brands division leading a portfolio of high profile, regional and international clients with significant scale and growth potential. This Sr. Director of Sales, as the lead of a highly engaged, motivated and cross functional team, will develop, implement and execute a transformational business strategy with the objective of gaining market share, aggressive sales targets and becoming an indispensable partner to these clients. This person will coach and mentor a team of account executives and ensure high levels of commercial excellence, enhance client relationships and drive mutual advantage.We are looking for an agile and very experienced sales leader with the ability to drive profitable sales growth, flexibly manage, communicate and inspire at all levels internally and externally, and achieve objectives within multi-disciplined, highly creative and fast-moving team environment. This person should be adept at understanding, identifying and deploying select capabilities and technologies tailored to client needs for growth and expansion.Your key responsibilities:Create strategic Business Plans for the account portfolio and lead all activities within this area of responsibility to profitably grow revenue, market share, commercial margin objectives and to meet both internal and client objectives.Communicate, implement, monitor and drive the Business Plan (incl. vision, strategy, budgets, long term sales goals, profitability improvement, strategic innovation initiatives, etc.); lead the organization by setting priorities.Engage effectively with client partners to drive impact of dsm-Firmenich solutions, preferred status to develop long term commercial agreements leveraging dsm-Firmenich expertise and capabilities (technology, sustainability, creation etc).Lead, coach and mentor a team of account executives.Develop, lead and nurture highly effective and impactful cross functional team dynamic to deliver best in class fragrances, innovation solutions and service.Collaborate with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) partners inclusive of demand planning, S&OP to ensure high level of profitable service to clients and define accurate pricing and margin parameters for each project, according to guidelines.Anticipate clients’ needs and establish a solid proactive program to generate new business expansion opportunities.You bring:Minimum 15-20 years of sales experience – preferred deep experience and working with global, international and large regional brands.Proven track record in high impact business, strategic results and value creation.Experience in negotiation and P&L mgmt.Some travel within US and abroad.
