The Virtual Production Manager is a central position to on-site Virtual Production operations, ensuring successful production management of crews and projects leveraging ICVFX, virtual art department, and associated departments. This includes facilitating and liaising with technical directors, VAD supervisors, interactive previs departments, engine techvis teams, and traditional VFX production management. The Virtual Production Stage Manager will work closely with Clients & VP Supervisor’s, Art Director’s, and UE Pipeline Leads ensuring deadlines are met, resources are maintained, lanes of communication are tidy, and morale remains positive. Finally, they work closely with production teams to successfully execute the LED volume stage team for ICVFX.
Responsibilities will include:
Ensuring resources are effectively assigned and team members’ time is being utilized to its fullest.
Ensuring tasks are delivered on time in accordance with the project schedule.
Create, organize, and maintain tracking grids to keep track of costs, crew times, incoming deliveries, and more.
Create and distribute reports that track and communicates project goals and progress to stakeholders.
Assist the Virtual Production Producer with logistical issues: tracking and reporting progress of work, budgeting, and delivering cost/schedule/production changes.
Create and distribute schedules, call sheets, and other vital production documents.
Attend meetings where necessary and take notes.
Ensure onsite production needs are met, including stocking office supplies and crew needs.
Maintain and track existing equipment and supplies and liaise with the global team for any additional hardware needs.
Retain collaborative and professional relationships with all departments of the Pixomondo Virtual Production organization to ensure clear communication of deadlines, requirements and goals of any project.
Work closely with Virtual Production Producers to collaborate with marketing teams to help with campaigns.
Under the guidance of the Virtual Production Producers and Supervisors, liaise between vendors, crew, and internal content teams.
Setting and ensuring deadlines are met according to client prep and shooting requirements.
Support and maintain communication standards between virtual production departments and clients.
Preferred experience & skills include:
5 years’ project management experience in a VFX, Realtime, Game Development or Animation pipeline.
Strong knowledge of Shotgrid and Excel.
Exceptional planning, negotiating, communicating and leadership skills.
Knowledge in VFX production technical aspects.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within a UE and/or CG Pipeline on feature films and/or games production.
Experience in on-set film production with a basic understanding of set etiquette, traditional departments, and line production.
Understanding of VFX or Game Development pipeline.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
