The Senior Manager, Product Marketing, Event Solutions is a crucial role responsible for driving product marketing strategy and maximizing revenue for the Event Marketing & Management platform. The ideal candidate will understand and articulate the value of the full platform, while having an expert command of a portfolio of products. Specifically, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and optimize go-to-market and lifecycle management plans for Cvent’s highest profile products. In so doing, they will identify target segments, and develop differentiated positioning, messaging, and enablement materials. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for market research, competitive analysis, and gathering customer insights to help ensure product adoption and drive product innovation. The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of strategic thinking, product marketing expertise, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
In This Role, You Will:
Product Marketing Strategy:
Develop and execute go-to-market and lifecycle management product marketing strategy for Cvent's Event Marketing & Management platform. Define and update the target market, buyer personas, and positioning for the product, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to ensure continued relevancy of product strategy and positioning. Collaborate with the product management team to align product roadmaps with market demands and ensure successful product launches.
Go-to-Market Execution:
Create and implement go-to-market plans for new product releases, updates, and features. Develop compelling product messaging, positioning, and value propositions that resonate with target customers. Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing assets, including website content, sales collateral, presentations, and case studies. Enable the sales team with product training, competitive differentiation, and customer success stories to drive revenue growth.
Product Adoption and Customer Insights:
Monitor market trends, industry dynamics, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation. Gather insights and understand customer needs and pain points. Partner with the product management team to prioritize product enhancements and new features based on customer feedback and market demand. Drive customer adoption and engagement through effective product positioning, messaging, and awareness campaigns.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with product management, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align product marketing initiatives with business objectives. Work with the demand generation team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive product awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition. Support sales enablement efforts by providing training, competitive intelligence, and sales tools to help the sales team effectively sell the product. Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners to drive successful product launches and ongoing product marketing initiatives.
Here's What You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. At least 8-10+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably within a B2B software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry. Pragmatic Institute, or similar product marketing framework, certification preferred. Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies, go-to-market plans, and product launches. Strong understanding of event marketing and management software, with experience in B2B marketing and the events industry being a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex product features and benefits to various audiences. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis to drive product innovation and revenue growth. Highly collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus among stakeholders. People management experience while also owning individual product marketing responsibilities is a plus.
