SalaryJob Description:Candidate must be located in IL, IN, WI, NE, ND, IA, MN or COI. Position DescriptionOversee and direct the activities of Life Insurance Operations across all channels (Captive, EA, IA, Direct Sales Unit, Direct Mail) for assigned territory to include ownership of profit and loss (P&L). Develop short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure attainment of sales and growth goals in all channels. Ensure a solid understanding of the assigned budget, and the impact of expenses on the bottom line. Serve as main point of contact between ACG and AAA Life to ensure fulfillment by all parties of Appointment Agreement.Develop marketing plans with both ACG and AAA Life teams to drive long term, profitable growth. Create, evolve, and execute ACG Member Centric sales process for life insurance and financial services throughout entire footprint to include, but not limited to: Prospecting/Relationship building; Appointment setting; Carrying out appointment process to include fact finding, completing needs analysis, finding suitable products for members, selling life and financial services products, etc.; Monitoring life cycle of submitted policy/case management to ensure policies are settled in a reasonable timeframe; Perform Life Triple Check for members who currently have life insurance and financial services with ACG.Build robust sales management system in SalesForce that will monitor and track from referral to sales stage and follow up when necessary. Measure overall life sales program at the Organizational, Life Sales Manager, and Life and Annuity Agent levels. Provide follow-up and coaching at all levels to improve overall sales to achieve sales plan. Monitor underwriting/submission process to ensure the achievement of metrics regarding submit vs. settled policies. Measure effective lead campaigns and institute new initiatives, as necessary. Responsible for the creation, annual review, management, and enhancement of life compensation models and plans as appropriate. Audit roles, practices, etc. to ensure alignment in compliance with the contract between ACG and AAA Life - includes upholding both parties to align with the agreement.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Actively develops and participates in programs, media and community events that promote the company and its products and services.Analyzes the market potential to identify issues and areas of improvement/growth opportunities and oversees the market analysis done by managers/specialists to identify potential opportunities and direct marketing plans.Work with senior management to develop and implement annual sales and operational goals/business plans to influence new business development, retention and penetration, and level of quality business.Communicates annual performance goals and assists management/professional staff in developing annual business plans and monitors region/state budgets to ensure cost effectiveness.Directs and implements staffing plans and participates in the department process related to the selection, hiring, training, development and coaching, review, and counseling of assigned staff. Directs management in the attainment of audit responsibilities and oversees the maintenance and adherence to corporate controls and state insurance regulations.Supervisory Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the work of managers and professional, technical and/or support personnel. Select, hire, train, develop and coach assigned direct reports in accordance with ACG Human Resource guidelines.II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)Education:Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experiencePossession of or obtain within 90 days of hire a valid State Life, Accident, and Health licensesValid State Driver's LicenseExperience:Five years of successful experience managing, directing, or leading Life sales to include some or all the following:

Leadership experience (leader of leaders) to include coaching, mentoring, challenging and enabling agency producers, and staff to successfully meet objectives and goalsHiring and management of individual contributors as well as managementMarket, territory, and channel developmentSales Management experience to include multiple layers of leadersDemonstrating effective issue identification and resolution techniquesManaging branch operations, annual budgets, and expensesImplementing successful workforce management structures/resource allocationPreparing and monitoring budget/P&L ownership

Knowledge of:Life insurance sales operations and channels, such as CAs, IAs and EAsLife and financial products, service, and regulationsSales techniques and delivery systemsBusiness drivers, marketing concepts, managing P&L, operational processes and compensation plan designAbility to:Oversee the creation and interpretation of sales models, results and return on investment reportingDemonstrate creativity and innovation in developing business, marketing, and sales plans to meet the unique needs of assigned geographyDemonstrate effective leadership skills to include motivating and influencing captive and/or non-captive agents and staffCreate accountability models for driving and meeting revenue and growth targetsEstablish a strong work ethic in the department through effective leadershipDemonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, to include preparation of proposals, reports, and technical writingWillingness to work irregular hoursWillingness to relocateIII.
