Railroad Expert AnalystKey Role:Serve as an expert in railroad safety and operations and analyze safety reports managed by the client. Screen reports for safety content and enter data accurately into a database. Conduct confidential conversations with reporters of safety events to obtain clarifying information while processing reports. Apply experience to examine information to ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of program participants. Conduct research and develop reports and other work products to help improve rail industry safety programs.Basic Qualifications:10+ years of experience with rail operations and functions as a train master, road foreman, yard master, engineer, conductor, yardman, mechanical, dispatch, or engineering.Experience with rail safety as an analyst, investigator, or instructor.Experience with computers and technology.Experience with Windows Operating System for PCs and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word.Knowledge of various railroad regulations and operating and safety rules and requirements, including General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) and Northeast Operating Rules Advisory Committee (NORAC).Knowledge of the Federal Rail Administration (FRA) regulations, safety, and oversight functions.HS diploma or GED.Additional Qualifications:Ability to pay attention to detail while working under strict deadlines.Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, Transportation, or Engineering.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD).
