This position is based out of our office out of our Denver/Lone Tree, CO office.Responsibilities

• Discover opportunities to collaborate in a team environment to understand client needs, prepare deliverables, and provide project updates.• Establish design criteria based on industry, company, and/or client standards.• Create computer models of overhead electric transmission lines and structures in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS TOWER.• Assemble drawings, specifications, and design criteria for the procurement of tubular steel structures, lattice towers, and transmission line hardware. Review the vendor supplied calculations and drawings for compliance.• Develop construction packages for internal construction crews and client contractors that include plan & profiles, staking sheets, bill of materials, structure details, foundation drawings, and installation specifications.• Present to management, analyze PLS-CADD reports, formulate design aids, and draft reports using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Yammer).• Participate in peer reviews to meet quality expectations and client standards to build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.• Visit construction sites, meet in client offices, and travel out of town to tour supplier facilities as required by projects and assignments.Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field• At least 2 years’ experience designing transmission lines between 69kV and 345kV• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (or successful completion of FE exam) preferred• Experience in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE• Knowledge of MFAD, LPILE, and geotechnical recommendation application for foundation design, preferred• Knowledge of client and industry standards, including NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and RUSOther Requirements:• Regular, reliable attendance• Work productively and meet deadlines timely• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
