Named after pioneering astronaut John Glenn, New Glenn is a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of carrying people and payloads routinely to Earth orbit and beyond. Featuring a reusable first stage built for 25 missions, New Glenn will build a road to space. Our team is seeking a proactive leader with excellent financial acumen and attention to detail who can thrive and support our mission in this fast-paced, high-growth environment.As a New Glenn Finance Principal, you will provide critical analysis and insight, drive performance improvement and predictability, and be responsible for the financial leadership of customer programs. Partnering with product line leadership, you will collaborate and communicate to tackle exciting problems and help build an outstanding business. As a self-starter, you’ll be tasked with supporting the build-out of the financial infrastructure and a scalable finance function that has the right people, processes, and tools to enable program growth.The selected candidate will be a key member of the New Glenn Finance Leadership team and will drive critical initiatives to improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of insights provided to senior and executive leadership.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Availability for on-site work in Kent, WA, or Denver, CO required, and relocation is provided!Responsibilities:Partner with the Vice President of Customer Programs as a business partner and advisorProvide accurate and timely financial information and recommendations to support business executionCollaborate with team members to provide relevant insights to Product Line leadershipDevelop and deliver product line financial commitments, business plans, and investment returnsSet-up the cost and reporting structure to support program execution while ensuring effective financial controlsPartner with Accounting to evaluate and document revenue recognition requirementsAnalyze and minimize variances in the financial performance of programsProvide subject matter expertise to the Blue Origin Finance community on the set-up and execution of external contracts and customers, including, USGSupport customer proposals and provide analysis/modeling of new business opportunities and related requirementsEligible for TS/SCI and experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements and financial processes and reportingSkills and abilities:Experience as a Finance Business Partner supporting external programs in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryExcellent communication and presentation skillsUnderstand financial documents and performance measurementsStrategic and results-oriented collaborator with multiple stakeholders; able to lead large-scale projects and reprioritize as necessaryStrong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills with expertise in Excel financial modelingExperience using ERP tools, financial and operational databases, and accounting softwareQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field12+ years of professional finance experience, including in R&D and manufacturingAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:MBA or Master’s Degree in a related fieldExperience in Research & Development and ManufacturingExperience with Deltek, Coupa, and Planful software toolsCompensation:Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $151,109-$211,552.Compensation range for on-site CO applicants is $143,086-$200,320.Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.Inclusivity Statement:Don’t meet all desired requirements?
