We currently manage 14 preserves and other sites in Hawai‘i and Palmyra Atoll. In Hawai‘i, we work with government agencies, private landowners, businesses, community partners and local stakeholders to protect and restore Hawai‘i’s native watershed forests, coral reefs, and nearshore fisheries for both their ecological value and the many benefits they provide to people. The Hawai‘i and Palmyra Chapter is hiring for a Human Resources Specialist (HRS) to work with its Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) to chart a course toward a future where people and nature will thrive for generations to come. As the chapter embarks on this critical journey, HR plays a pivotal role in aligning our organizational capabilities, health, and sustainability with our strategic objectives. HR will be instrumental in attracting, nurturing, and retaining the talent needed to execute the plan effectively, while also fostering a culture of inclusivity, well-being, and continuous improvement. HR will actively support our goals related to staff and program capacity, work-life balance, cross-functional teams, and leadership excellence, among others. The HRS will work to support the DFO’s strategic leadership that will be central to translating our visionary plan into tangible actions and sustainable success.Location:

Oahu preferred, but other Hawaii locations will be considered.What You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s degree or 3 years HR related work experience or equivalent combination.Experience responding to HR related questions and problems from employees and management.Experience with database management and spreadsheet software; constructing and producing reports; data input, manipulation, and analysis.Experience working with MS Office software, HR information systems and analytics tools.Experience supporting programs, projects or large events with multiple layers of staff, complex logistics and operational challenges.Experience with fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services.What We Bring:Each person who works at TNC contributes to our goal of protecting nature for future generations.
