Job PurposeThe Operations Processing Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and supports the cleaning, cutting, inspecting, and packaging of Birth Tissue grafts. The Operations Processing Supervisor is responsible for scheduling their assigned team of technicians to meet the weekly production plan. The supervisor must be able to implement and sustain production metrics directly related to the company’s KPI while making procedural or resource adjustments as necessary. Responsibilities include ensuring technician training is current, supervising daily production activities, collaborating with supporting departments for process improvements and root cause investigations. The candidate has a high sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize accordingly.Duties and ResponsibilitiesApplies problem solving to address non-conformances, corrective actions, and customer complaints as well as technical challenges.Ensures that Processing Operations comply with State and Federal regulations and AATB standards.Oversees daily/weekly operations by collaboration with direct reports while ensuring schedule completion and driving cost reduction efforts.Ensures that all non-conformances and/or deviations are reported to Quality Assurance and documented appropriately. Tracks to completion in collaboration with personnel assigned to the investigation. Drives root-cause analysis during this process.Supports training efforts for the Operations team in collaboration with direct reports.Driven by a challenging sense of urgency for customer delivery while monitoring expense control, staff management, goods production, and value stream management in order to ensure that Operations run accordingly.Coordinates with supporting teams during the process of product transfer for execution of testing runs at the Processing stage.Conducts Mid and End of Year reviews for direct reports. Develops and mentors direct reports by creating and tracking impactful/actionable developmental plans.Creates and tracks performance improvement plans when needed.Familiarizes with the Company’s financial targets while aligning direct report’s metrics accordingly.Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day technical operations issues.Collaborates with supporting departments for the Sterile Processing and Environmental Cleaning daily operations.Contributes to the completion of process improvement opportunities that have significant scope and impact to the organization.Resourceful in completing assigned deadlines and can multitask effectively.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in science or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant management experience or master’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Tissue Banking experience preferred. Must obtain and maintain AATB certification within 2 years of employment.Strong analytical, planning, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills. However, some work will be performed in a clean-room environment. Must be willing to work weekends and evening hours as necessary. Must be willing to accommodate travel if necessary.Physical RequirementsThe ability to stand for extended periods of time.
