Job DescriptionThe Sr. Materials Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply of raw cheese to production facilities. Develops and manages replenishment strategies for cheese materials. Optimizes the balance between supply availability, inventory investment and risk of obsolescence. Works cross functionally with Marketing, Procurement, R&D, Suppliers, Quality, Plants, Product Change Managers, and Finance on commercialization and productivity change management initiatives to ensure on-time materials availability and cost minimizing transitions. Leads and collaborates with plants on inventory reduction initiatives by leveraging SAP or supplier capabilities to align with BU manufacturing strategy.Primary ResponsibilitiesTakes ownership of all raw cheese materials within Kraft Heinz network and external warehousing partners.Works cross functionally with Marketing, Procurement, R&D, Suppliers, Quality, Plants, Product Change Managers, and Finance on commercialization and productivity change management initiatives to ensure on-time materials availability and cost minimizing transitions.Supports inventory reduction initiatives entailing optimization of SAP MRP parameters, total supply chain process improvement, and application of lean principles.Drives to minimize cost impacts due to unneeded excess inventory through transfer to other Kraft Heinz locations, return to supplier or salvage sale.Manages day to day supply disruptions to quickly & efficiently find solutions while determining root cause & implementing corrective actions.Provides input to Procurement on projected volumes, business changes, supplier performance, and contractual needs so that Procurement can write contracts that serve the BUs and minimize total cost.Determines supplier capacity constraints and executes appropriate contingency plans to maintain supply when capacity is exceeded.Performs annual physical inventory review of external warehouses and their reconciliation.QualificationsBachelor's Degree.2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in supply chain.Strong working knowledge of Excel.SAP/Quintiq experience a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and computer skills.Drive for results.Strong influencing skills.Total supply chain perspective.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Location(s) : Chicago/Aon CenterKraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer that prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type.
