Summary: P&J is currently seeking Project Superintendents for Heavy Civil Earthwork construction opportunities. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring Heavy Civil Earthwork activities and optimizing resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring a safe work environment during all operations and tasks. Assisting project management team in the preparation of dredging and other associated workplans. Providing input and updates for the development and execution of the earthworks, milestones, work in progress, construction risks, budget issues, and planning. Executing and optimizing strategies, action plans, and resources. Managing day-to-day Heavy Civil Earthwork activities and resources. Organizing daily operations meetings to ensure operation teams are fully briefed on work scopes and understand their duties. Participating in all safety briefings and communicating them to the operation teams. Delegating specific responsibilities to supervisors and foreman, assessing performance, and suggesting efficiency improvement activities where needed. Providing input and advice on staffing needs. Ensuring that all personnel selected for tasks are qualified and possess relevant in-date certifications. Ensuring that all project equipment is operated and deployed in accordance with its design and operating parameters. Implementing the routine preventative maintenance program for heavy earthwork equipment. Implementing corrective safety and/or quality measures raised by audits and/or inspections. Tracking labor and equipment time by phase code for daily reporting. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil earthwork projects. Possess sufficient working knowledge to assist with Heavy Civil earthwork activities. Experience with or ability to become proficient using earthwork survey equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Significant experience in project performance analysis. Strong client-facing and internal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables. Extensive travel and/or relocation based upon project assignment. OSHA 30 HR Supervisory Training. Good driving record to allow operation of company-owned vehicles. Strong knowledge and practical experience in hoisting and rigging preferred. Accessibility:
