Injection Molding Process Engineer II

The Molding Process Engineer is in charge of developing, maintaining, and optimizing all injection molding processes. Interacts with all departments and customers to ensure the proper execution of all qualification activities. Supports production activities by mentoring and training process technicians in daily activities.Key Responsibilities:Develop robust and consistent molding processes using scientific molding techniques.Propose and implement modifications to molds, equipment, and processes focused on increasing productivity and maximizing efficiency.Troubleshoot molding, secondary operations, and material issues.Work with internal and external resources to resolve molding and manufacturing issues and implement long-term solutions.Create and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) under FDA and ISO regulations meeting timelines and keeping customers updated throughout the whole process.Design and execute DOEs to optimize process performance.Optimize process performance through instrumented monitoring (RJG EDart-CoPilot).Create operating procedures and instructions to ensure production standardization and provide training to Process Techs and production personnel.Identify and propose cost reduction projects and molding process improvements.Provide technical assistance and support to Process Techs in resolving day-to-day problems, using systematic methods of troubleshooting, and root cause analysis which includes repair and modification of existing tooling and processes.Create and maintain BOMs and routings through ECO and CAR.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical, or equivalent).10+ years experience.Hands-on experience.Deep knowledge in Scientific Molding.Experience with a variety of engineering resins.Experienced in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).Experience with CAD Software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mold Flow).Experience in Data Analysis (Minitab).RJG Master Molder certification.Requirements, Skills & Experience:Analytical problem-solving skills.Experience in an FDA and ISO regulated environment.MRP experience (IQMS or similar).Self-motivated, requiring minimum supervision.Familiarity with software: Microsoft Office, Minitab, Project, AutoCAD.We offer market competitive compensation. The potential salary range for this role is $110,000-$120,000.
