Senior Product Owner

This remote opportunity is open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States or Canada.The Senior Product Owner is responsible for the continuous delivery of value to the market, customers, and users for their products. They engage their stakeholders in making data-driven decisions regarding which features and functionality to build and the order in which to build them. The senior product owner is responsible for the entire product lifecycle and the overall success of their products and the VelocityEHS platform in the market. They are responsible for acting as the product owner on their scrum teams, effectively collaborating with the development team to ensure they rapidly build what customers and the market need.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Key Responsibilities Include:Creates technical backlog items and can communicate to managementUnderstands the architecture enough to coordinate and collaborate with multiple teamsAble to communicate scope changes and impact to scrum teamHolds others accountable for meeting datesLeads go-to-market discussions and activitiesIdentifies topics that require group discussionsWorks cross-functionally knowing who to talk to from other departments to achieve goalsConducts root cause analysisAbility to join customer callsRecognizes when change is needed and why it is neededRecommends changes based on data or fact based opinionsTakes preventative steps to avoid repeat problems to products, services, and work environmentDevelops solutions to recurring problemsContributes to and follows up on improvements discovered in retrospectivesMinimum Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience5+ years of relevant work experienceAdvanced knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleExperience with Enterprise SaaS solutionsExcellent presentation skillsFluent in technical jargonPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Experience in Project ManagementExperience with Account Management SystemsExperience with data analytics
