We are actively seeking an entrepreneurial individual to support our venture capital practice as a Senior Analyst. HighVista has a deep history of investing in venture capital, having raised more than a dozen previous funds focused predominantly on early-stage and select venture growth fund investing. In this role, the senior analyst will perform a wide variety of tasks and analysis in direct support of the firm’s venture capital strategy. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a multitude of venture capital strategies and investment types, including primary fund investments, direct co-investments, and secondary investments. The senior analyst role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a knowledge of venture capital and private markets.Requirements
Core responsibilities of the senior analyst role include:Screening new investment opportunitiesPortfolio data analysisMonitoring existing investments and portfoliosDue diligence of investment opportunitiesResearching specific investment themesFinancial modelingPreparation of investment presentationsStaying up to date with venture capital market trendsHighVista has an entrepreneurial and team-oriented culture. A successful candidate will need to work closely with team members on multiple opportunities across both our existing portfolio and investment pipeline. The senior analyst will be expected to be able to work independently while benefiting from the mentorship of the broader venture capital investment team.Qualifications
2-3 years of investment or financial experience with a strong interest in venture capital / investment managementEntrepreneurial spirit and team-player with the ability to work under the guidance of senior professionals, but also self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work independentlyStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated analytical abilities, specifically in finance and/or accountingAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbility to build and nurture personal relationships with a diverse range of peopleBachelor’s degree or further education with a strong academic track recordRobust work-ethic and time management skills with a desire to learn
