IA is committed to serving our community, and one of the main aims of our work is stewardship of cultural resources – ensuring they will be available for future generations.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesDirect and provide oversight for multiple archaeological projects simultaneously, including directing burial recovery and analyzing skeletal remains.Correspond with clients, oversee field staff, manage project data, coordinate laboratory analysis, and write reports.Serve as the lead author of bioarchaeological reports and lead or secondary author on archaeological reports.Demonstrate strong organization, problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and a determination to maintain project schedules as part of a team.Conduct frequent travel, work outdoors for fieldwork or site visits, supervise osteological laboratory analyses, and assist with on-site training of field staff.Project work throughout the Pacific, largely in the Mariana Islands.Required Education and ExperienceA graduate degree with specialization in bioarchaeology or in a related field.A minimum of two years of experience conducting osteological laboratory analyses as the lead bioarchaeologist, project management, and CRM required.
