Your most important work is ahead.If this sounds like the kind of environment where you can thrive, keep reading!Leidos is looking to fill a Data Center Manager/Engineer position to support the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC). This role will be responsible for the monitoring maintenance of all data center operations. This individual will collaborate with the government customer to define the processes and standards that govern data center activities, monitor activities to confirm compliance, and track and report data center resource consumption (power, cooling, and rack space) to the Government. The Customer utilizes an Agile Framework to plan and successfully complete all initiatives.This is a 100% on-site position. All work must be performed at the customer site in Bethesda at the Intelligence Community Campus.Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to define the processes and standards that govern data center activitiesMonitor activities to confirm complianceTrack and report data center resource consumption (power, cooling, and rack space)Coordinate and control access and logistic supportCommunicate maintenance intervals to affected stakeholdersFollow data center procedures and processesEstablish new and/or modify existing procedures and processes for efficiencyManage and coordinate the installation and maintenance of data center equipmentEnsure compliance with data center security protocolsPrepare reports on data center operationsMaintain data center documentation as assigned, including maintenance verification documents, technical drawings, procurement documentation, and related technical manualsSupervise, engage, and oversee vendors and subcontractors supporting the data centerControl data center stocks (fiber, patch panels, connectors, etc.)Responsible for racking and stacking of servers and related devicesDesign and implement server technologies in environments with multiple configurationsAssist in performing root cause analysis for operational issues that occurEnsure safety of all personnel/equipment on-siteProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning of physical equipment. Rapidly distinguish between isolated server problems, network outages, and power/cooling issues that impact enterprise servicesProvide data center support 24/7 to respond to emergency incidents that affect mission-essential servicesBasic Qualifications

Experience working in an AGILE environmentExperience managing hardware configuration baselinesExperience with Data Center Strategy, Planning, and Roadmap maintenanceExperience with Data Center consolidation and cloud environment transitionStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectivesTrack record of working effectively within a team, and supporting peers toward improved processes and resultsKnowledge of power infrastructure layout from generation to rack level, redundancy levels and techniques, rack standards, properties and selection criteria, and power rail/strip options, cold aisle/hot aisle containment, and standards for fire suppression, security, and safetyExperience monitoring environmental sensors and determining issues prior to impact to systemsEducation

Requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeExperience supervising othersPreferred Qualifications

Experience operating and maintaining systems in a Windows environmentExperience with SAN or network storage setup and administrationData Center Management Certification a plusExperience working in an Agile environmentFamiliarity with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts and solutionsExperience with troubleshooting within a security environmentExperience with backup and restore proceduresClearance Required

$108,550.00 - $196,225.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
