With the support, coaching, and training you need to succeed at your role, your ideas will be valued in our culture of innovation.Responsibilities:Contribute to development of cloud-based analytical framework, algorithms, and toolingProactively contribute to software performance optimizationsProactively contribute improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processesEnhance functional capabilities of the existing systemInvestigate and resolve customer inquiries and software defectsQualifications:Minimum 3 years in commercial-grade software development, specializing in backend business logic, frameworks, scalability and performance aspects of the systemMinimum 3 years developing Windows/Linux applications using C++.Strong knowledge of design patterns.Enthusiastic, passionate, and quick learner with strong written and verbal communication skills.Possess a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task, stay organized in a dynamic teamwork environment, and have an attitude to get things done.Knowledge of code analysis and performance-tuning toolsPreferred Skill:Preferred experience working in Docker and systems on cloud computing platforms.Background in math, high-performance distributed and parallel computingParallel Computing experience (TPL, MPI, TBB, OpenMP)Education:BS or higher in CS preferred and 3 plus years of relevant experienceAdditional Information:For over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
