Role Overview: Responsible for prospecting aggregate sources and coordinating activities related to securing the sources. Duties/Responsibilities: Find viable aggregate sources. Knowledge of prospecting aggregates and mining regulations. Understanding of natural resource exploration. Survey property boundaries and pit boundaries. Ability to read and interpret geological maps, soil surveys, well logs, sieve analysis, etc. Assist with mapping and planning as needed. Knowledge of exploration techniques such as drilling and core sampling. Ability to conduct research and analyze data. Help prospecting crew with all aspects of prospecting. Assist in obtaining required State and Local Permits for new aggregate sources. Self-starter that can prioritize heavy workload and work with minimal supervision. Must be able to take initiative to communicate with landowners in a professional manner. Ability to obtain drone license and perform flights. Performs other duties as assigned. As a successful Aggregate Prospector you will have: Minimum five years related experience and/or training, or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record. Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training. This is a full-time, year-round position. Based on a 40-hour work week with possibility of overtime.
