Job Description Summary

The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is searching for a board-certified (or eligible) pediatric endocrinologist to join our well-established team. There are currently 6 pediatric endocrinologists, a nurse practitioner, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, dietician, and a dedicated social worker. We are actively involved in clinical research trials.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in the division call schedule.

Engage in Patient-Centered Medical Home activities.

Commit to Evidence-Based Medicine and Quality Improvement in teaching and practice.

Work at MUSC’s Summey Medical Pavilion in North Charleston, as well as clinics in Mount Pleasant and Summerville, SC.

Collaborate with medical students, residents, and elective trainees.

Ideal Candidates:

Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions.

Eligible for licensure in South Carolina.

Strong interest in working with both typical and medically complex children.

Physical Requirements:
