Job Description: Supply Chain Data Scientist Position Overview: LocWill is seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Data Scientist to join our team. As a Supply Chain Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, modeling, and machine learning to drive insights and improvements in our supply chain operations. Your advanced analytical skills will contribute to optimizing inventory management, demand forecasting, logistics planning, and overall supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of supply chain data from various sources, including ERP systems, sensors, and external datasets. Apply statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and trends in supply chain data. Develop and deploy predictive models and algorithms to optimize inventory levels, demand forecasting, and supplier performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions to improve supply chain operations. Utilize optimization algorithms and simulation models to optimize logistics planning, transportation routing, and warehouse management. Conduct root cause analysis of supply chain issues and develop strategies for risk mitigation and process improvement. Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement data infrastructure and systems that support advanced analytics capabilities. Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in supply chain analytics and data science. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, emphasizing the business impact of insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives as assigned. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field. Proven experience in supply chain analytics, data science, and machine learning, preferably in a supply chain or logistics environment. Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and model development. Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and optimization techniques applied to supply chain problems. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to communicate complex insights effectively. Experience with database systems and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to handle and analyze large datasets efficiently and apply advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights. Prior experience or internship in supply chain data science or related field is a plus.
