Job Details:

The Audit Senior Manager is responsible for formulating and communicating the audit plan, overseeing audit execution, answering complex questions involving GAAP and GAAS, and composing technical consultation memos on engagements related to GAAP / GAAS issues as well as developing suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures and advising the client on various economic and regulatory risks by identifying financial and non-financial performance measures. In this role, the Audit Senior Manager maintains key client relationships and serves as the primary contact for clients regarding complex questions and information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements at once in a wide variety of industries with the ability to manage to budget. Expertise and specialization in real estate preferred.

Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.

Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business improvement and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client.

Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals.

Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.

Actively participate in recruiting talent to the firm.

Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars on a regular basis.

Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; MBA/Masters in Accountancy is a plus.

8 to 12 years of progressive public accounting audit experience. Expertise and specialization in real estate preferred.

Recent experience managing audit engagements for small to midsized private companies or private-equity backed entities.

Prior experience managing audit engagement teams of at least 2 people.

Active CPA license.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Advanced GAAP and GAAS knowledge.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent people development and delegation skills, including training/instruction and engagement scheduling and budgeting.

Excellent client development/relationship-building skills.

Ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
