who will oversee the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects, ensuring successful workflow and effective communication. You will work with the leadership team and key stakeholders to accelerate delivery of key initiatives and scale processes for growth, and will be responsible for planning, governance, reporting, and delivery of various projects and programs across APi to support new business growth and new functional requirements.This role will lead a team of Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Business Analysts in a complex, highly matrixed environment. The Director has responsibility for leading the team and overseeing project success across the portfolio. This leader will define, develop, optimize, lead, and govern the processes and tools for the EPMO and Delivery. This leader will also oversee the department's financial and portfolio management, manage contracts and licenses, track and manage vendors and contractors, and maintain metrics reporting and dashboards.This leader is a problem solver, energetic, positive, and driven to success. This position will partner with peers and leaders throughout the company to grow and mature APi's Enterprise Management Project Management delivery capabilities. This director will ensure compliance to annual project portfolio planning, annual operating planning/budgeting, and ensure all projects are managed consistently, reliably, and transparently across all workstreams. The IT Director of EPMO and Governance is well-positioned to positively lead our teams through the rising technology adoption in our company.Project Management Office: Manage the EPMO with responsibility for the project delivery process, standards, tools, reporting, budgets, and portfolio management.Shape, manage, and champion the Project Management Framework, including the best practices for project planning, governance reporting, action planning, financial management, short- and long-term resourcing, and reporting/analysis of key performance metrics.Enterprise /Business Segment Priorities: Coordinate closely with the Stakeholders and EPMO to ensure proper allocation of IT resources (both internal and external) to enterprise initiatives and business priorities.IT Operational Governance: Responsible for KPI’s, ensuring proper performance of ticket management; builds and publishes monthly Management Dashboard and quarterly scorecards; gauges customer satisfaction (via surveys, etc.); and provides vendor management over outsourced vendors and service providers.IT Finance: Responsible for the department budget, reporting, monthly budget reviews with cost center owners, centralized payment for all company phones, network circuits, landlines, hardware, software and licenses.IT Personnel management: Keep track of contractors and their costs; validate invoices from the staffing vendor, manage requests for new contractors, and on/off boarding of IT contractors.IT Reporting: Prepare, compile, and track IT KPIs to measure performance in critical related project management, capacity management, service desk ticket status and resolution, or more financial-focused costs and revenue stats, among others.Risk Management: Serve as point-person to coordinate and handling audits (Internal and external); handles contract, license management, and compliance (i.e SDLC and SOX compliance).Key CapabilitiesClearly and succinctly communicate project management governance expectations to project owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders.Create comprehensive project planning documents detailing goals, strategy, resources, scheduling, risk identification, and contingency plans.Establish cross-functional portfolio processes and governance that support the company's strategic plan.Evaluate maturity levels and promote continuous improvement of project management methodology, metrics, and processes.Collaborate with leadership to validate new project requests and ensure successful project delivery by reviewing activities, risks, issues, and dependencies.Identify project management training needs among project leaders/owners and deliver appropriate training.Oversee the development and execution of the PMO roadmap, schedule, and related budgets and forecasts.Provide mentoring, coaching, and training for team members to ensure adherence to project methodologies.Facilitate status meetings and communicate deadlines, upcoming events, potential issues, risks, action items, etc.Apply previous business and IT knowledge to new situations; translate product scope, project objectives, and business needs into clear and concise requirements.Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and develop procedures for IT Project Management.EPMO Capability BuildingEstablishes and maintains a standard, compliant (includes SOX and SDLC compliance) enterprise project management approach to drive project initiation, planning, and execution, tailored to deliver innovative new technologies with timeliness, readiness, and reliability.Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods.Incorporates industry best practices, and establishes key measures, and metrics.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners.Project PerformanceDefines key performance indicators and clarifies ownership for delivery at all levels of the organization, driving for focused delivery based on commitments.Conducts regular program and project reviews, proactive risk management, and critical thinking to ensure predictability, quality, and communication.Creates a systematic approach to improving project planning accuracy and project cycle time.Drives implementation of a resource management process and reporting to facilitate prioritization, management trade-offs, and efficient project intake based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risks, and interdependencies meeting deadlines.Works with the Segment IT and functional leaders to ensure appropriate leveling and allocation of resources to projects and to resolve competing project needs.Partners/collaborates with business stakeholders to define success metrics and criteria, project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value.Ensures that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities and able to meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in the business case.Monitors value metrics to make informed decisions that maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs.Develop an overall communication strategy and a reporting process for updating the organization and relevant business stakeholders on project and pipeline progress, decisions, and impacts.Development of PMO Staff and OperationsProvides direction, guidance, and strong leadership to the EPMO team members, fostering collaboration and effective integration of efforts with division-wide initiatives.Assesses cross-functional project team capability and defines specific improvement actions and training needs to improve collaborative development and project results. Identifies skill gaps and initiates activities to close the gaps.Monitors the delivery of business objectives and client experience for EPMO services.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or business-related discipline or equivalent related experience. MBA Preferred.A minimum of ten years of management experience in a Technology-related capacity.At least fifteen years of Project/Program Management progressive experience within IT.Demonstrated experience using project management tracking/software tools and reporting deliverables.Experience blending Waterfall/Agile, and other delivery methodologies.PMP certification is required.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Must be customer-focused, team-oriented, and able to provide quality service to business partners and stakeholders.Strong analytical skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment.A positive attitude towards change, offering new ideas and fresh approaches.Benefits and Compensation:This role can be performed remotely from any office in the United States. The pay range is $145,000 - $218,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
