You will have the opportunity to work directly under a proHNS Principal Engineer & Owner who seeks to establish a new branch office in Skagit County, WA.
This Senior Project Manager position will lead a team of engineering and construction professionals working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects that will utilize your skills and experience for projects requiring site development, environmental mitigation and permitting, water & sewer utilities, street & pedestrian facilities, hydrology & hydraulic modeling, culvert design, stream bank stabilization, and more. You will be expected to lead a team of engineers, surveyors, planners, and multiple engineering disciplines to develop construction plans, estimates and specifications. This position will be responsible for developing and managing firm contracts with clients, including ensuring services and deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in line with service agreements.
You will be expected to supervise and lead subordinate proHNS staff, including partial leadership of business operations for a new firm branch office. This position will include responsible charge for your projects, including the sealing of engineered documents prepared under your leadership. Additionally, you will be called upon to support business development and pursuit of project opportunities in Washington State. Many of our projects include all aspects of civil or environmental engineering design with management of construction projects. The Ideal Senior Project Manager Will:
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Present solutions that result in meeting deliverable due dates, firm budgets, professional service agreement requirements, and client or firm expectations.
Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with proHNS policies & procedures.
Effectively lead teams of engineers, inspectors, subconsultants, and other representatives.
Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, contractual, and industry regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
Review engineering calculations in support of design projects and technical analysis.
Have an intimate understanding of civil site, utility, stormwater, transportation, permitting, or environmental engineering principles and practices.
Expertly utilize MS Suites, scheduling software, or similar.
Conduct reviews and evaluate performance of subordinate proHNS staff.
Review project correspondence, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
Seal contract documents for project advertisement and bidding.
Offer in-depth knowledge of WSDOT LAG Manual, municipal/county codes, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
Professional Civil Engineer licensure in the State of Washington, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Excellent understanding of and skills in computers and programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, Adobe, cloud-based filing systems, online time reporting, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software applications.
Excellent written and oral English skills necessary to communicate with clients, co-workers, and contractors.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Comprehensive understanding of permits, codes, specifications, and plans.
Ability to pass a background check.
3 professional references.
Valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record.
Employer Expectations for this Position:
Ability to work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime when needed, including attending after-hour events such as local government public meetings.
Ability to work seamlessly in a teamwork setting with coworkers working remotely.
Willingness and ability to perform site visits and construction inspections in a variety of outdoor settings and climate conditions.
Ability to travel to support clients and projects on a daily or less frequent basis.
Be capable of long periods of standing, walking, or sitting, as well as the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Possess close vision and the ability to adjust focus in support of plan and specification reading. Ability to clearly hear and speak to communicate project requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:
Employees receive a competitive benefit package including access to our Medical Insurance plans with the employer paying 100% of the employee plan. Position will include paid time off and eight paid holidays. proHNS pays for expenses associated with licensure, training, and certifications. We offer annual performance bonuses and have done so every year since inception. We offer a supportive work environment that prioritizes company culture.
The wage range for this position is $65+ per regular hour, DOE. Overtime pay eligible at 1.5x regular wage rate for over 40 hours worked per week.
This position is anticipated to work remotely, from home, until proHNS opens a branch office in Skagit County, WA. Upon opening of branch office, the position will be expected to report daily to office or on a hybrid remote work agreement. All job required resources will be furnished by proHNS. The position is open until filled.
