General DescriptionThe Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program starting in June. During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst on the desk.
The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program consists of one week of comprehensive training and nine weeks working within an Investment Management (IM) team. The training curriculum is designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. The week one training includes a Firmwide orientation, business overviews, professional development, technical training, and networking events.
Primary Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Investment Teams, Distribution & Marketing, Legal & Compliance, and Operations to understand strategy, opportunity, execute new product launches, mergers/strategy transitions, liquidations, and provide ongoing support to the product platform.Conduct market research and analyses on competitor funds, performance, and global investment trends using various fund databases to support product initiatives.Assist with offering document development and marketing materials, operational processes, etc.Assess product demand by speaking with sales teams.Support strategic organic growth initiatives such as new product launches, team lift outs, sales initiatives.Support corporate development and M&A efforts through analyzing and synthesizing financial statements and operating information about potential acquisition targets.Research and analyze various geographical markets and segments within the asset management industry such as China, retirement/DC and insurance channel. Includes market sizing, identifying growth trends/opportunities and profiling of key market participants.Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2025 and June 2026.Exceptional academic performance and communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong team player; ability to collaborate with colleagues across the team and within the broader organization.Energetic, self-starter, and team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage competing priorities.Problem solver, with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset.Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.Application Process and Deadline

Expected base pay rate for the role will be $43.27 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
