As an Architect within the Technical Strategy & Innovation (TS&I), you will join a world-class team that provides technical and thought leadership through focused solutions to the Customer Success & Experience organization globally. This role involves working with Splunk’s Observability portfolio of products, aligning closely with stakeholders, and acting as the SME and Trusted Advisor across Splunk’s solutions, including Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk On-Call and Splunk ITSI.Responsibilities:
Engage directly with leading experts to co-develop innovative strategies that redefine how customers manage, monitor, and analyze their infrastructure, applications, and business services.Partner with multi-functional teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Enablement, Education, and Support.Maintain consistent engagement with all organizational levels, from executive leadership (C-suite) to technical staff (developers and Site Reliability Engineers), ensuring strategic alignment and operational execution.Serve as a thought leader in architecting innovative solutions to complex technical and business challenges involving multiple stakeholder groups.Commit to continuous professional development to keep abreast of the latest Splunk products, technological advancements, and industry standard methodologies.Foster a culture of teamwork, ensuring a two-way flow of relevant and timely information across the organization.Requirements:
Demonstrated ability in technical consulting or sales engineering.Experience with Kubernetes & Containerization.Experience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable with the command line interface.Experience developing technical documentation to include architecture diagrams, user guides, white papers or product manuals.5+ years of current experience in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Implementation.Experience with implementing APM software (Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace or AppDynamics).Proficiency and demonstrable understanding in at least 2 of the following programming languages: Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, Python, Node.JS, Objective-C, Java-Dalvik.Proven experience working with container orchestration i.e. Kubernetes and Docker.Strong experience with Cloud IaaS providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure.Experience with enterprise monitoring systems i.e. Nagios, Elastic and Splunk.Experience with serverless functions i.e AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions.Experience with automation/orchestration tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform.Experienced and comfortable closely collaborating with technical teams to ultimately drive customer-focused outcomes!Experience successfully leading global end-to-end process and technology transformation projects.Well organized and ability to meet SLAs!Familiarity with Agile work management and/or the ability to effectively communicate processes within and across teams.Self-motivated, independent and self-educating, yet willing to stop, collaborate and listen with partner community and fellow Splunkers.Willingness to travel (remote position).Splunk is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Splunk, we believe creating a culture of belonging isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s also the smart thing. Base Pay RangeSF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro AreaBase Pay Range: $181,200.00 - 249,150.00 per yearCalifornia (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and MassachusettsBase Pay Range: $163,080.00 - 224,235.00 per yearAll other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.Base Pay Range: $144,960.00 - 199,320.00 per yearSplunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.
