Position Overview:
Lead Española Humane’s strategic direction, collaborating with key stakeholders to design and implement goals aligned with the organization’s strategic plan. Facilitate collaboration across departments and strengthen internal communications to cultivate strong working relationships at every level of the organization. Steward finances in collaboration with the finance team and Board’s finance committee; oversee the budgeting processes and ensure clear financial reporting and cash flow. Additional Areas of Responsibility: Recruit, engage, and retain high-quality staff, and ensure ongoing professional development opportunities. Oversee all clinic and shelter operations in two locations and ensure compliance with local and state standards and regulations. Steward and solicit major gifts on behalf of the organization in collaboration with the Director of Giving. Other Information/Requirements: Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Española Humane. Minimum of ten years of executive leadership experience with a strong track record of building, leading, inspiring, and retaining high-performing teams. Experience overseeing essential executive functions including strategy, finance, operations, communications, and fundraising preferably in a non-profit setting. Spanish language proficiency a plus.
