The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for performing all post-closing callback activities such as document to Core system review and data validation of all newly funded loans to ensure data integrity and quality. Obtains and tracks receipt of key trailing documents, UCC filings and continuance. This position is responsible for all aspects of the lien releases process on paid in full loans. This position may serve as a backup for other loan servicing functions and may be responsible for special projects as assigned by management.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Track recording of mortgage documents and receipt of loan trailing documents for newly funded loans (ex.: HUD1, Title Policy).Review core system against loan documents to ensure accuracy of loan boarding and correct errors.Review Title Policies for accuracy. Contact Title Companies for corrections and follow up accordingly.Report to management any system and/or file information exceptions.Ensure original collateral documents are received and forwarded to the Collateral Vault.Prepare loan sale package and ship collateral documents to investors (FNMA).Track delivery of all collateral documents to FHLB.Prepare release of mortgages and other collateral releases on paid in full loans. Track recording of lien releases. Ensure compliance with state and investor guidelines.Verify county recording fees and payoff overage refunds due to borrowers.Maintain tracking reports for areas of responsibility.Monitor UCC filings and prepare continuances.Contact internal and external customers and vendors to correct closing issues and system discrepancies.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Position requires 2-4 years current experience in a bank loan operations department with an extensive understanding of financial documentation, such as HUD1, Note, Mortgage, Title Policy, Assignment, Loan Modifications, Lien Releases. Candidate must be able to interpret and understand all consumer and commercial mortgage loan documents. Experience with Loan Servicing systems and Word and Excel. Must work well under pressure and be able to meet strict deadlines and demonstrate excellent professional verbal and written communication skills. Research skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are a must. Candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of federal and state compliance regulations. High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
