Additional approved locations include San Jose, CA.As an Audit Senior Manager, you will use your technical and leadership skills to plan and lead the completion of financial statement audits. You’ll apply your experience to help engagement teams solve difficult business problems and review highly technical matters and disclosures — all with the resources, environment and support to help you excel. From day one, you’ll be empowered with access to firm leaders and training programs, as well as opportunities to grow the firm and your career, and achieve more, confidently.Your day-to-day may include:Overseeing and supporting multiple engagement teams concurrently to complete financial statement auditsConsistently listening and communicating with clients about engagement and service expectations; resolving technical and service issues quickly and thoroughlyBeing a proactive problem solver and sought-after business adviser to your clients on a variety of business improvement areasTraining and supervising less experienced colleagues and providing consistent, regular feedbackTeaming up with Grant Thornton colleagues to identify and win new business opportunitiesWorking at a client site, with your team in the office or remotely. No matter when or where, you will have the support you need to thriveRepresenting Grant Thornton at recruiting and professional networking eventsBuilding your technical and professional skills through formal trainingOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills, qualifications and abilities:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or related disciplinesMinimum of eight years of progressive public accounting experience with a mid-sized to large firmAn active CPA license (required)Analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standardsContinuously expand your professional network and have experience with business developmentValue teamwork, are agile and know the power of building strong relationshipsAre curious about or have exposure to automation and digitization tools as part of audits or in the professional services environmentCan travel as needed (Travel expectation: 25%)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsThe base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco and San Jose office is $138,000 to $230,000 per year.
