Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of UAPD, as defined in the CBA.About us:As a Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern California with over 45 years of dedicated service to the community, LifeLong serves over 66,000 patients in the East Bay Area's socio-economically underserved regions. We provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and school-based services at more than 15 primary care sites across Oakland, Berkeley, and West Contra Costa County. Unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved, all employees must receive COVID-19 vaccinations.Responsibilities:Within the scope of general dentistry and dental practice act, diagnoses dental/oral problems, form appropriate Tx plans carry out/ render Tx in conformance with accepted clinical protocol and guidelines. Appropriate referral for treatment may be made when appropriate dental care is not available at LMC dental department.Evaluates and assesses medical history to formulate accurate treatment for to optimize their general wellbeing and quality of life.Performs all aspects of general dentistry such as, but not limited to restorative care, Oral surgery (simple and complex extractions), Endodontic Tx for anterior and premolar teeth, fabrication of removable and or fixed prosthetics, Periodontal and Preventive care.Provides limited referrals if reasonably unable to execute complex care.Ensure that oral hygiene services to include dental prophylaxis is carried for pts.Provides dental services to Lifelong Medical Care contracted agencies.Updates and develops dental programs to improve the dental care of our patients as needed.Works as a team member providing smooth flow of dental care to the patient. Quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all within the team.Maintains continuing education requirements of 50 unit per for every renewal cycle with emphasis on classes to enable provider render care necessary for lifelong patients.Assumes other duties as assigned by the Dental Director.Qualifications:
