As the lead of Wealth Management Technology & Digital Platforms for the Individual Markets (IM) Profit Center, your main responsibility is to drive innovation in product review, planning, creation, and maintenance support for advisor technologies across our Protection & Wealth segments. Individual Markets provides protection products like Life & Disability Insurance as well as Investment products through our Retail Broker Dealer & Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) to the affluent, high net worth clients in the US. We’re looking for exceptional candidates who think digitally and differently, resolve problems in non-traditional ways and strive to provide a remarkable experience for our advisors & producers that sell our services/products. This role will focus on providing our advisors & producers with a digital solution that is integrated across all our product lines for IM.The ideal candidate has experience creating a comprehensive advisor workstation that pulls together multiple data sources, industry tools and systems to create an integrated & aggregated competitive technology platform to recruit & retain seasoned advisors. The candidate needs to have deep wealth management experience with multi custodian clearing firms (i.e., Pershing, National Financial), advisory (i.e., Envestnet, Orion) and turnkey asset management platforms (TAMP). The ideal candidate will be a seasoned technology professional and be a transformational leader in engineering/technology who will drive priorities while balancing risks, capital allocations, and change complexities throughout Individual Markets. The candidate must be able to solve complex problems, work through roadblocks and be able to see the big picture and how the pieces and parts fit together. Big delivery experience as well as technical and functional understanding in wealth & protection environments with a willingness to ‘roll-up sleeves’ are a must. Being able to partner with the business and create effective solutions for critical initiatives with innovation and forward compatibility is essential. Create business cases for furthering these effortsEnsure all governance models are being met so that systems are in accordance with the overall Guardian or Enterprise IT StrategyFoster a culture of teamwork, collaboration and integration across subject areas that drives excellent service, quality, diversity of thought, an engaging work environment and overall performance improvementYou Have:15+ years of experience in Wealth Management & Financial industries10+ years of experience with agile development methodologies on programs with multiple teams and technologiesDemonstrated experience with multi custodian clearing firms (Pershing, National Financial Services, Charles Schwab, etc.), advisory platforms (Envestnet, Orion, etc.), planning tools and CRMsDemonstrated experience managing geographically diverse groups of employees/colleagues and consultantsAbility to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to varying audiences, including non-technical business executivesKnowledge of modern Infrastructure and Application Development practices and toolsKnowledge of Cloud-Enabled/Optimized practices and implications for Application DevelopmentProven leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skillsBachelor's degree in a technical field and/or equivalent work experienceProtection/Insurance exposure preferredProven business-focused IT executive with a strong understanding of how technology can drive business growthExtensive leadership experience demonstrated through empowerment, situational awareness, increasing transparency and conflict resolution on a large-scale programHands-on, able and willing to work with teams while coaching them to reach efficient and effective performance levelsDeep experience building digital solutions for advisors/sales teams in the Wealth Management industry. Prior exposure to insurance industry a nice to haveA proven track record for motivating change in how organizations embrace agile and innovationLocation & Travel:The position will need to be based in either: Holmdel, NJ, New York, NY (Hudson Yards), Boston, MA, Stamford, CT, or Bethlehem, PAThe position will be hybrid with 3+ days in the officeWill require travel as neededSalary Range:$225,000 - $280,000The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
