About the PositionContrast is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - Data Platform to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and architecture and experience modernizing and scaling data platforms. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data architecture that supports our business objectives. We are an innovative startup dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive growth and efficiency. Responsibilities
Data Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures that support our business needs.Data Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is readily available for analysis and decision-making.Cloud Integration: Integrate and manage data platforms on cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Performance Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and cost-efficiency.Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance and security policies to ensure data privacy and compliance. Monitoring and troubleshooting: Monitor data platform performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.Experience with ETL tools and processes.Strong programming skills in languages such as Java & Python.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.What We OfferSalary and Other CompensationThis position's standard base pay range is $150,000 - $180,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an equity package subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
