OVERVIEW
Alo is seeking a junior corporate attorney to provide support on a wide range of day-to-day legal issues including the negotiation of commercial contracts, product endorsement and non-disclosure agreements, and supply and manufacturing agreements. This position is a great opportunity for an individual interested in working on a broad array of legal issues in a fast-paced, growing company.
This is a hybrid role based in the Los Angeles area and the attorney will be expected to come into the office at least three days a week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Drafting and Negotiation : Draft, negotiate and see through execution a wide variety of commercial contracts including product endorsement agreements, independent contractor agreements, modeling agency agreements, partnership deals, vendor and supplier contracts. Work closely with legal support staff to ensure all contracts are properly executed and stored.
International Operations : Collaborate with relevant business teams to determine local requirements for new jurisdictions, assist with entity formation and liaise with local counsel as required.
Policy Development : Work with internal business teams to develop, implement and review company policies and procedures to ensure they align with legal requirements and industry standards.
Legal Compliance : Ensure that all contracts and legal documents comply with company processes.
Collaboration : Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, finance, creative, marketing and other business units, to address contract-related issues and provide strategic advice.
Vendor Management : Manage relationships with external legal service providers and ensure their performance aligns with company expectations and standards.
Other : Enthusiastically pitch in on other Legal department projects and tasks. Continually develop new expertise as the business grows and proactively tackle new subject matters as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
J.D. from a top tier law school and strong academic credentials
Admission to the California bar
Three to five years transactional experience in big law and/or in-house
Prior experience with retail and e-commerce is a plus
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Outstanding analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-starter with ability to balance many projects simultaneously and complete tasks accurately, on schedule and with minimal supervision
Must be able to accommodate tight deadlines
Sensitivity to and practical knowledge of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and ability to explain legal requirements and concerns in layman’s terms
Willingness to take initiative
Ability to work flexible hours

The base pay range for this position is
$175,000-$225,000 , which represents the current range for the exempt position. Please note that actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
